I’m not gay, okay?

There’s nothing wrong with being gay, I even have friends and relatives who are gay and I love them so much and I am very, very proud of them, but sorry, I am not gay.

It was really a pain. And worth-crying. Yeah.

Tuesday was my ID day. It was the day for me to have that picture-taking thingy and have that small card to be shown on guards, and start hiding that hideous Form 5 because it is starting to look crispy and that. Yeah. It was supposed to be on that Tuesday afternoon that I’ll be getting photographed, but hell, no. I decided to go to TriNoma to get my hair fixed. I really wanted to look good on that ID picture and be different. See, it is really UP’s tradition to have a very untidy look on your ID picture, and yes, you’ll be using that ID for the next four years.

And that haircut cost me a total of 250 pesos.

I thought Thursday was my lucky day because I didn’t need to reschedule my ID day. They let me fall in line and all that despite failing to attend my supposed ID Day. I even brought my comb so that my newly-cut hair would look perfect as it should look like. I even brought my pink pack of gay-looking tissue hankies to wipe off the excess oils on my face. I fixed everything. And yet I still look HIDEOUS. FUCKING HIDEOUS. I really, really want to look good in my ID. Oh My God. I am again transforming into an Econ student, again. Duh. Perhaps this UP tradition can’t be escaped, after all. Hayup na yan.

So I spent for some kind of 300+ fucking bucks just for a completely trash ID. Hahaha. Very funny! And my budget for this week is completely going down the sink, like, I was spending them for useless things (perhaps like this FUCKING ID). But no, I had much research on that stupid Math 1. Oh no. Not stupid, I mean, elementary. Haha. Tapos hindi naka-uno. Ano naman yon?

OFF-TOPIC/OTHER TOPIC/WHATEVER: We had our very first (or second, or third, I don’t know) block activity and we met some of the Film graduates. I was fun. They made us laugh and said some tips on Film life.

Well, the fun stopped when they eventually started calling me “Hyro, Ang Pambansang/Pilipinong OREO.” Hahahaha. For foreign readers (if any) HI-RO (as how my name is pronounced, like HAI-RO) is a sandwich cookie based/similar to the America’s OREO. So, eat that.

See, it is really a challenge for me to live in a dormitory filled with anonymously different kinds of people. The real challenge in this one is that I need to fend on my own, eat alone/with some friends only, wake up early without people having the need to wake me up, prepare my bath, prepare my clothes, etc. But things are working just right at Kalayaan Residence Hall, more popularly called Kalai.

Life seems easier than other dormitories available because, obviously, Kalai was made specially for freshies like me. It is really great that i was never bored despite the lack of amenities I usually savor like unlimited television (By the way, Kalai has a large flat screen TV but obviously, puro kapamilya yata ang mga Bisayang nakatira dito kaya hayun…), internet, ref. You way think that was too luxurious for me to tell, but aminin man natin, lahat talaga ay may ganitong mga bagay sa ating mga bahay. But Kalai never made me feel bored. 🙂

I just remembered.  Kalai also makes us a better person through putting us to the next stage of life: adulthood. They are starting to train us basic things that would help us grasp every responsibility on our way. To tell you proudly, today, my roommate and I are assigned to make sure the bathroom’s cleanliness. It wasn’t a bad thing! As I mop the wet floor with a clean mop and make sure every feces on each toilet bowl is flushed all the way. 🙂

So far, I am having the best time at UP! Yeah!

Thursday, June 14

Ummm, I had my first class in Math 1 at MB. I met my blockmate Max Casaclang and her friend, Kim. We had much fun, teehee. She brought her cam and we took pictures of the three of us. The teacher is nice, and I wish she would be nice too on giving grades. Sino nga naman bang ayaw???

My second class was an adventure and at the same time, hell. See, I mixed Faculty Center with the New CAL Building so, I was almost late. Thank God the prof is much late than me.The room lacked good acoustics, so, the thin voice of my prof made me all drowsy. Still, it was still a happy class.

My third class, and the last class for the day, was in, OH MY OH MY OH MY OH MY OH MY GOD! (does that made me sound like an Econ student? Wahaha) It was in third floor Palma Hall. See, my CW 10 class was in CAL Building, THIRD FLOOR.

So, nang dumating ako sa classroom ko (its 329 if I remember it right) super tagal ng teacher kaya nakapagmashid pa ako ng maayos. May mga klasmeyts akong mukhang inosente, at may mga mukhang matanda at gusgusin (Hehe..).

So dumating ang teacher, at grabe, he really look young, fresh, at artistahin.

So nagpaactivity siya and we need to introduce our seatmate. Super easy nito dahil professional yata ito. Hahaha. Tapos sabi nung girl…

“Ladies and  Gentlemen, may I present to you our professor, Michael Charleston Chua.”

Grabe, super strict at parang terror! Shemay!

So ayan! May bagong blog entry ako! YEHEY!

Yeah, I thought UP would stop me from blogging, but no! It rather made my will to blog stronger! (Echos!) That is, because I had a lot of  stories to tell, a lot of unforgettable experience to share.  I’ll divide it by day so you’ll be able to understand it chronologically. 🙂

Tuesday, June 12

Yes, the so called Indepedence Day Holiday was again moved by the great and very intelligent Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo (tama ba?) so we need to go to school on this day.

Akala namin part of the program pero hindi pala. Hehe. Pinalakpakan pa naman ng CMC freshies. Haha. At naikover ata ito ng ABS-CBN. Makikita niyo kaming kumakaway doon. Joke.

Masaya kasi eh! At saka it is an academic org so ayos. Hahaha!

At oo nga pala! Pwede nang kunin ang BC 10. Hahaha.

SECRET!

TBA ang susunod. Hahaha. THE BAHAY NG ALUMNI. Haha. Maybe sa weekend! 🙂 See you guys!

PS. Yung mga taga UP jan pwede ninyo akong katagpuin sa Kalai. Nanginginain lang ng isaw doon. 🙂

“Oy! Bakit nandito ka? Kamusta?

Haha.

So nagdate kami ng friend ko which is also my Music teacher then, si Ma’am Roxy at kumain kami sa Dacoco’s (Pansitan ito.

Hay.

———-

Oo nga pala, natatakot ako at baka hindi ako maka-update pagkarating ko sa UP. Mahal na kasi at may babayaran na ako sa internet…

Ang naiisip kong paraan: I can update my site once a week, tapos isusulat ko na lang mga notes ko sa isang notebook. Hehe. Watcha-think???

Last May 30, I attended the department orientation for Film Majors at Cine Adarna at UP Diliman Campus. Well, one o’clock was really too early for an afternoon meet, but shempre, dahil professional ako, I went to UP at 12:00. Haha. Of course, I could have looked a little stupid if I’ll be very un-Filipino. Haha. You know what I mean. Filipino Time.

So, I ate my lunch at the Vinsons Hall’s The Grille, and to find out that they have a blackout there. It was so hot and my food was incredibly hot, too. Sisig with flaming chili peppers, that is. And my drink—a steaming 12 oz Royal.

So before 1, I walked my way from Vinsons to Cine Adarna to find out that I was one of the few persons who are actually in the site. One guy offered me a seat (Thanks!) near the cool door as I wait for the registration. Well, it actually didn’t take long before the registration started, and I was able to recognize some familiar faces like Cedric, Phi, Mitch, Bea, Dale, and others.

The orientation started with some film showing, the first one I saw, is a film about gays, with kissing scene and all. The next one was an animation (wow!) about a paper toy’s adventures to find his missing part. The last one was titled “Bingit”, which actually depressed me because of the death of the female character in the end. Actually Bingit was really a great short. I love the script, the cinematography, and the simple acting. Exceptional!

Then two members from CAST came to either orient us or entertain us. Haha. I don’t know which of the two, it can be both. Haha. Well I can see the effort on trying to make us laugh, but sorry, it didn’t work for me. Maybe because Bingit depressed me much. Haha.

After some hefty blah blahs, the orgs were given a chance to promote themselves through Audio-Visual Presentation. Haha)

Ummm…oo nga pala! Kodak gave us freebies! Yehey!

The orientation ended with the sobrang-habang lakaran este tour pala.

Bale torn between two orgs ako ngayon. Ano kayang mas maganda, Cineastes’ o CAST? Marami kasing celebrity members ang Cineastes eh. haha. Pero CAST, ayos ang hatak sa akin. Ano Kaya???
